Special course: Praline for beginners – A sweet adventure at Hotel Kai 36

On 9 February 2025, the kitchen of our partner business, Hotel Kai 36 in Graz, was transformed into a chocolate workshop full of creativity and indulgence! The chocolate course for beginners was not only a culinary highlight, but also a journey into the fascinating world of chocolate art – simple, creative and unforgettable.

The enchanting aroma of melted chocolate was in the air as soon as you entered, and the anticipation was palpable. Under expert guidance, the participants tried their hand at four different types of chocolate, each with its own character and exciting production method. Whether classic, creative or extravagant – the course offered endless opportunities to add their own personal touch to the little masterpieces.

One particular highlight was the art of correct tempering: the participants learnt how to get chocolate to the right point so that it shines perfectly and has the characteristic ‘crack’ when bitten into. The versatile ganache was also a delight – a base that can be transformed into countless flavours with little effort.

But what made this course truly unique was the creative ‘no airbrush’ technique. Without any expensive equipment, impressively decorated chocolates were created that looked as if they had come straight out of a patisserie. The only thing that counted here was your own imagination – and the results were simply breathtaking.

Each participant not only received new skills, but also a stylish chef’s apron and a lovingly designed recipe booklet to apply their newly acquired knowledge at home. The chocolate course impressively demonstrated that the world of chocolate is accessible to everyone – no complicated equipment, no hard-to-get ingredients, just the pure joy of creating.
