An evening full of magic: Christmas party with private sushi course and shabu shabu
There are events that leave a lasting impression – and this Christmas party was one of them. Hosts and guests experienced an evening with Mizu-san by Daniel that enchanted not only the palate, but all the senses.
The evening began with sushi
It all started with a private sushi course at home. The guests learnt how to conjure up the perfect roll. The ingredients? Only the freshest and highest quality: tender sushi rice, shiny sashimi salmon, creamy avocado and crispy nori sheets. In a relaxed yet professional atmosphere, the group learnt not only the technique, but also exciting background stories about the art of Japanese cuisine.
Sushi creations were rolled with enthusiasm and lots of fun and, of course, sampled straight away. Not only a delicious moment, but also a bonding one – exactly what makes a Christmas party so special.
Shabu Shabu: A feast of flavours
The sushi workshop was followed by a culinary highlight that made hearts beat faster: Shabu Shabu – a Japanese hotpot experience in a class of its own. Three different basic broths – dashi, miso and gochujang – formed the basis for this interactive feast. These were served with the finest ingredients, to name but a few:
- Tender Wagyu
- Succulent black tiger prawns
- Shiitake mushrooms and shishito peppers
- Udon Noodles & Sushi Rice
- Homemade sauces such as goma dare and ponzu
Guests could cook the ingredients to their heart’s content in the steaming broths and savour them straight away. Every bite was an experience and reflected the diversity of flavours in Japan.
Freshly grilled yakitori
As if that wasn’t enough, freshly grilled yakitori rounded off the feast. Skewers grilled on real Binchotan charcoal provided an authentic flavour experience. The combination of smoky flavours and succulent meat or vegetables turned each yakitori into a small work of art.
Enthusiasm that lingers
The enthusiasm of the guests was infectious. Laughter, amazement and discovering new flavours together made the evening an unforgettable experience. The host himself was delighted: “An event that we won’t forget in a hurry. Many thanks to Mizu-san for this wonderful experience!
